Radium PCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit, Toyota Tacoma (2005-2023)

The Radium Engineering 20-0838-FL PCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit runs inline between the PCV valve and the intake manifold on the 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma. At idle, steady cruising and deceleration the PCV hoses see metered vacuum that would normally draw crankcase vapour, unspent fuel and oil sludge into the intake manifold. The catch can traps these contaminants before they reach the engine.

Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, so no inline check valve is required and a direct intake manifold connection is permitted. The can mounts to threaded bosses on the inner fender in the engine bay.

Fluid Lock

A conventional catch can that isn't emptied regularly will eventually overflow, pouring collected contaminants into the intake system. Radium's patented Fluid Lock® mechanism prevents the reservoir from overfilling and traps collected fluids until the can is emptied. Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, so no additional inline check valve is required.

Collection & Emptying

Collection rates vary from vehicle to vehicle, so there is no set emptying interval. PCV catch cans tend to collect more than CCV catch cans. Check the level with the integrated dipstick after 3–4 weeks of driving and repeat as needed. Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional Radium Petcock Drain Kit where there is space under the can.
