Radium CCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit, Toyota Tundra (2007-2021)

The Radium Engineering 20-0239-FL CCV Fluid Lock Catch Can Kit runs inline with the 1/2" valve cover breather port on the 2007–2021 Toyota Tundra. At low load the crankcase vent sees atmospheric pressure, but at high load (WOT) it experiences vacuum that pulls crankcase vapour, unspent fuel and oil sludge into the air filter intake pipe. The catch can captures these contaminants before they reach the intake.

On turbocharged or supercharged builds that show oil build-up in the intercooler, this catch can is a necessity — oil lowers the thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger. The kit comes with two mounting brackets; one is used depending on whether the PCV kit is also fitted.

Fluid Lock

A conventional catch can that isn't emptied regularly will eventually overflow, pouring collected contaminants into the intake system. Radium's patented Fluid Lock® mechanism prevents the reservoir from overfilling and traps collected fluids until the can is emptied. Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, so no additional inline check valve is required.

Collection & Emptying

Collection rates vary from vehicle to vehicle, so there is no set emptying interval. PCV catch cans tend to collect more than CCV catch cans. Check the level with the integrated dipstick after 3–4 weeks of driving and repeat as needed. Empty by unscrewing the lower reservoir, or fit the optional Radium Petcock Drain Kit where there is space under the can.
