    Manufacturer part number: 241-4200

    Models Supported

    • The TGT86 is designed to suit the following Left Hand Drive applications:
    • Toyota 86 ZN6 with 4U-GSE/FA20 engine from 2012-2021.
    • Toyota GT86 ZN6 with 4U-GSE/FA20 engine from 2012-2021.
    • Subaru BRZ ZC6 with 4U-GSE/FA20 engine from 2012-2020.
    • Scion FR-S with 4U-GSE/FA20 engine from 2012-2016.

    Important

    • Compare the vehicle ECU connector with the product photographs before ordering.
    • This ECU works for both manual and Automatic transmissions.
    • Factory-feature support depends on the listed vehicle application.
    • This ECU has built-in E-Throttle (Drive-by-Wire).
    • Due to the very tight nature of the factory ECU location, the LHD and RHD mounting methods differ. This ECU is for left-hand drive vehicles only. A RHD Version is available under part number 241-4000.
    • 2017+ Models have some differences to earlier cars and will not run with the sample maps supplied in PCLink and the standard plug-in ecu hardware.
    • 2017+ Engines have a Hall Effect Crank Sensor instead of Reluctor and so require the Trigger 1 Type changed from 'Reluctor' to 'Optical/Hall' and the Trigger 1 Pull-up set to ON.
    • 2017+ Engines have a different DI Fuel Pressure sensor than earlier models, this sensor has 4 pins instead of 3 and requires an 8.2kohm pullup resistor to be wired between C7 (An Volt 4) and 5v, the DI Fuel Pressure Source changed from An Volt 3 to An Volt 4 and the pressure calibration changed to 0kPa at 4.06V and 30000kPa at 0.46V.

    Installation and ordering

Have an experienced installer confirm the engine, transmission, connector layout and available inputs and outputs before ordering. Follow the model-specific Link installation manual and configure the ECU in PCLink. Check sensor calibration, trigger settings, fuel and ignition setup, and engine-protection limits before running the engine. A supplied startup map requires calibration for the actual engine.

Listed tuning features depend on the vehicle hardware, firmware, available I/O and configuration. Shared or repurposed channels cannot perform every listed function simultaneously.

This LHD ECU is supplied on special order from New Zealand. The existing JDM Mods NQ dispatch estimate is 1–2 weeks; confirm timing before ordering.

The factory wideband oxygen sensors are not supported by this ECU. Select a compatible external wideband solution.
