Product Description
Link G4X NGTRX Plug-In ECU – Nissan Skyline RB Engine Management
The Link G4X NGTRX with E-Throttle capability, part number 214-4100, provides standalone engine management for supported Nissan RB applications with the blue factory ECU connector. JDM Mods NQ supplies this plug-in ECU for customers who want the G4X tuning platform while retaining the compatible factory ECU location, wiring loom and connector arrangement.
Its built-in MAP sensor, two CAN channels, configurable engine protection and 512MB onboard logging provide a foundation for tuning and diagnostics. A supplied startup map assists initial configuration; the engine still requires calibration for its actual hardware and modifications.
Vehicle and Engine Compatibility
Link lists the following blue-header applications. Confirm the connector and engine wiring before ordering, especially on converted or modified vehicles:
- RB26DETT: R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R; Autech 260RS Stagea
- RB20DE: R32/R33 Skyline and A31 Cefiro
- RB20DET: R32 Skyline, including 4WD models; A31 Cefiro and C33 Laurel. Injector connections 4 and 6 must be swapped for these applications.
- RB25DE: R32/R33 Skyline, C33/C34 Laurel and A31 Cefiro
- RB25DET: R33 Skyline, including 4WD models, and C34 Laurel
- RB30DE, RB30DET and RB30DETT conversions using non-NEO heads and a blue-connector loom
NEO engines with a grey ECU connector require the NGTTX, part number 215-4000. This NGTRX is intended for the listed manual-transmission applications. Discuss automatic-transmission compatibility with Link or your tuner before purchasing; availability of a software function does not establish compatibility with every factory automatic transmission.
Engine Control Features
- E-Throttle control, requiring an additional expansion connector and appropriate wiring
- Flex-fuel, variable valve timing and open-loop/closed-loop boost functions
- Dual closed-loop lambda support with compatible measurement hardware
- Engine-protection limiters and a trigger oscilloscope
- CAN keypad control and compatible aftermarket display communication
- Three-axis accelerometer and selectable temperature-input pull-ups
- Direct automatic-transmission control features where the actual vehicle and transmission are supported
- 512MB internal data logging
Motorsport Functions
- Nitrous control
- Launch control and anti-lag
- Cruise-control and traction-control functions
- Race timer and power management
- Gear-shift and paddle-shift control
Available functions depend on vehicle wiring, sensors, accessories and I/O allocation. Most factory features are supported, but confirm your individual vehicle's requirements before installation.
CAN and E-Throttle Installation Notes
This version uses a four-pin powered CAN connection. Use the CANJST4 cable, MPN 101-0198; the older CANPCB cable is incompatible with this port. The connection provides CAN communication, ground and a protected 12V supply with a self-resetting fuse rated for 3A continuous current.
An expansion connector is required before E-Throttle can be used. The ECU alone does not provide a complete drive-by-wire conversion kit.
I/O Expansion
| Expansion connector 1 | Sensor ground; low-current +5V; DI5; DI6; An Volt 8; An Volt 2; An Temp 3; An Temp 4 |
|---|---|
| Expansion connector 2 | Sensor ground; low-current +5V; Ign 7 / auxiliary output; Ign 8 / auxiliary output; DI9; DI10; An Volt 10; Aux 11 |
Use the current NGTRX installation manual for the complete factory-header I/O assignments and pinout. The expansion list above does not replace the wiring instructions.

Installation and Tuning
Check the loom condition and connector layout before installation. Follow the anti-static precautions, fit the board as specified by Link, and have an experienced installer configure sensors, ignition, fueling and protection limits in PCLink. A startup map is not a substitute for professional tuning.

| Important | Please check your connector matches the header in the listed photo before purchasing. This model includes an onboard MAP sensor. Designed for manual transmission vehicles. If you have an automatic model, please contact your local LinkECU reseller to discuss Direct Automatic Transmission Control compatibility. Most factory features are supported. This ECU will need an expansion connector before E-Throttle is usable. This Plug-in features a new 4 pin powered CAN connector and cannot use the old CANPCB cable for CAN connection. Use the CANJST4 (Code 101-0198) cable for connecting CAN devices. This new 4-pin port and cable provide not only the CAN connection, but also a protected 12V power supply and ground for powering the CAN devices. The power supply is protected by a self-resetting fuse rated at 3A continuous. |
